Having risen into the sky on an airplane, the beginner, together with the coach will make a parachute jump. The flight is about 5-7 minutes, and the free-fall itself will last about a minute.
Clients will visit the Niagara Skydive Center. Upon arrival, guests will see a short video about tandem skydiving. After the video, an experienced skydiver will provide you with proper training on how to behave during the jump and you will learn important poses for each stage of the jump. A specially trained person will help you with your gear and you will meet with your skydive coach who will care for you for the rest of the experience.
The airplane ride to 10,500 feet or 12,500 feet is about 25 minutes and circles Niagara Falls on the way up. Once at altitude, your instructor will tighten you to himself with the specially designed harness, remind you of all instructions and suggest only one thing - Have fun!
Niagara Skydive Centre is Ontario’s Tandem Specialist. They are also the only skydive centre in Ontario that includes an aerial tour of Niagara Falls on all jump flights to altitude! Niagara Skydive Centre is a full-time skydive centre, with professional instructors and commercial pilots on duty every day. For added peace of mind, all their instructors are Canadian Sport Parachuting Association (CSPA) and/or United States Parachute Association (USPA) certified.
Wee need you to complete the online check-in and liability waive at home, and come with government issued photo identification. The all process is about 4 hours long, so some packed lunch or snacks is a good idea.
Please wear comfortable clothing and sensible shoes. Dress appropriately for the temperature, and keep in mind it will be much cooler at 12,000 feet than on the ground (even in July!). We recommend bringing a hoodie and/or track pants. We do land on a grass field, so your clothes may pick up a little grass stain (or mud if it's recently rained) The following articles cannot be worn: Sandals; Flip-Flops or any Open-Toed Shoes; Hoop Earings, or any jewellery that may snag. Please avoid muscle shirts, short shorts, dresses and skirts (purely for your own comfort, the harness is tight)
The Canadian Sport Parachuting Association (CSPA) does not allow students to wear cameras while jumping. If you are interesting in filming your jump, you can add camera packages to your skydive upon registration.
Spectators are welcome! Since Niagara Skydive Centre Inc. operate from a commercial airport, all spectators must remain in the designated viewing area of the airport, and children must be supervised at all times. Spectators can bring their own camera equipment and use it however they wish.
